SALEM, MA – It was Think Pink night at Salem State’s Rockett Arena where the Vikings tripped up the Lancers of Worcester State 7-2 in the hockey season finale. The Vikings are the #2 seed in the upcoming MASCAC hockey tournament.

Matthew Genovese, Ian Flanagan, Justin Roy, Nick Del Rosso, and Giancarlo Capodanno, were recognized on Senior Night before the game.

Congrats to the Amherst boys and East Longmeadow Lady Spartans for winning their Western MA regional championships! It was a real exciting evening!

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA – It was Brian Bazin Night at the Olympia as the lone senior on the young Spartan squad led the team with 2 goals and 1 assist to power the Spartans past the Falcons of Minnechaug 8-2. Jake Grant added 2 goals, while Bubba Fisk assisted on 3.

SALEM, MA – Salem State and Fitchburg State skate to 2-2 tie in MASCAC hockey action at Rockett Arena on February 4, 2012. The Vikings struck early with first period goals by Eric DeFelice and Matthew Genovese. The Falcons tied it up in the third before the game went into a scoreless OT.

NORTHAMPTON, MA – Highlights from the 6th PVIAC Indoor Track meet at Smith College on February, 3, 2012. Joe Meade slams down for 2 of his game-leading 20 points against East Longmeadow

Westfield put the game away in the last few minutes for its first Suburban League win of the season. The Bombers’ Joe Meade had a big game, leading all scorers with 20 points. Ryan Casey tossed in 5 3-pointers to lead the Spartans with 19 points.

The Vikings broke open a close game in the closing minutes to run out a 76-71 win over MASCAC rival Worcester State at Twohig Gymnasium. Brian Clark and Andrew White each poured in 18 points to pace a balanced Viking scoring attack.
