20120609 HS Boy’s Lacrosse: South Hadley vs Minnechaug Western Mass DII Championship

East Longmeadow, MA – The Minnechaug Falcons avenged an earlier season loss to South Hadley by defeating the Tigers 9-8 to win the Western Mass DII boy’s lacrosse title at East Longmeadow High School on Saturday. Frank Kochanowski led the Falcon attack with 4 goals; Chris Menard led the Tiger with 4 tallies.

East Longmeadow, MA – The Lady Falcons spoiled Senior Night for East Longmeadow, 15-3. Becca Moses, Mary Bates, and Julianna Fazio each tallied for the Lady Spartans.

East Longmeadow, MA – The East Longmeadow boy’s JV squad pulled together for a convincing 7-3 victory over Agawam.

Note: The JV team is coached by my son, Taylor, a former Spartan and IAS laxer (and Spartan SportShots shooter from time to time!). He’s done a fantastic job of getting this young team to work together. What makes it more interesting is that many of the athletes are playing competitive lax for the first time! So I was impressed by their performance. And very proud of their coach!
